At their unexpected joint appearance at their uncle’s funeral, Prince Harry and Prince William avoid each other
It was previously known that Harry would not be attending the service due to security concerns he had while in the United Kingdom.

Despite their ongoing disagreement, Prince Harry and Prince William both went to the memorial service for their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes.
According to PEOPLE, the 39-year-old Duke of Sussex made the trip to the UK to attend the funeral. The Sun reports that the 42-year-old Prince of Wales attended the memorial ceremony for Princess Diana’s brother-in-law, who passed away on July 29 at the age of 82 from unspecified reasons, at St. Mary’s Church in Norfolk.

People already knew that the Duke of Sussex’s security concerns in the United Kingdom prevented him from attending his uncle’s burial. The brothers apparently avoided each other, though.
According to The Sun, a family acquaintance expressed their happiness at having confirmed the presence of both princes. They did not seat close to one another, but rather in the back.

A different insider said, “They arrived very discreetly,” to The Sun, saying they were unaware of Harry and William’s presence until they saw the princes following the service. “We never saw William and Harry speak to each other and they were keeping their distance,” an additional guest remarked, as reported by The Sun.
Prior to this, sources told PEOPLE that Harry’s attempts to communicate with his brother via messages, calls, and texts are met with resistance. A royal insider described the split with Prince William as “very bad,” but not “irreparable.”
