Before being arrested, Artem Chigvintsev claims that Nikki Garcia threw shoes at him during a 911 call
Prior to his apprehension on charges of domestic abuse, Artem Chigvintsev reportedly informed a 911 dispatcher that his spouse, Nikki Garcia, had hurled shoes at him.

More information on Artem Chigvintsev’s arrest has surfaced.
According to a radio dispatch call obtained by TMZ on August 30, the Dancing With the Stars alum contacted 911 for medical aid before being hauled into custody on a domestic assault complaint. He informed the dispatcher that his two-year wife, Nikki Garcia, had thrown shoes at him.

According to TMZ, the dispatcher can be heard saying, “At first, he came in as requesting medical attention, but now he is stating he got into an argument with his wife and his wife threw shoes at R.P. [reporting party].”
When the dispatcher heard Chigvintsev’s 4-year-old son Matteo being called, she noticed that there was a “active 415,” code for a “suspected disturbing of the peace,” in the background of the call. She also confirmed that medical assistance was on its way to the residence and added, “There is a child on scene.”

And according to the dispatch call that TMZ was able to obtain, Chigvintsev allegedly attempted to cancel the paramedics shortly after, but police still showed up at the residence an hour later. According to booking documents seen by E! News,
the 42-year-old was later taken into custody in the early hours of August 29 for felony corporal injury to a spouse. He was afterwards freed in Napa, California, after posting a $25,000 bond.
