Director verifies that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie won’t cross each other at the Venice film festival
At the festival, Jolie’s picture “Maria” will make its premiere, while ex-Pitt will be present to present his feature “Wolfs.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie won’t be interacting at the forthcoming Venice Film Festival. The creative director of the yearly occasion, Alberto Barbera, discussed the festival’s upcoming world debuts of Jolie’s Maria and Pitt’s Wolfs with Vanity Fair.
In response to the question of whether the ex-couples would run into one another at the prestigious event, Barbera stated that “of course” their appearances will be spread out.
“Angelina will be on the first day, on Thursday [Aug.] 29, and she will leave right after with [Maria director] Pablo Larraín to go to Telluride [Film Festival],” he said. Brad won’t be here until Saturday.
“It is impossible for them to cross paths at the Lido,” Barbera continued, referring to Jolie, 49, and Pitt, 60. The divorce proceedings between Jolie and Pitt are still pending.
The two were married in 2014 after dating for nine years, and two years later, Jolie filed for divorce. On the set of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the Bullet Train actor and the Eternals actress initially crossed paths and subsequently started dating.
Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and the twins, Knox and Vivienne, 16, are their six children together. The French winery they used to co-own, Château Miraval, is currently the subject of a heated legal dispute between them.
