During a time of global uncertainty, Prince Harry writes a moving letter honoring my fellow veterans
On November 11, the Duke of Sussex wrote, “Your contributions do not stop because you no longer wear the uniform.”
In honor of warriors Day and Remembrance Day, Prince Harry has issued a statement expressing his support for “my fellow veterans.”
“I reaffirm my lifelong admiration and appreciation for the service and sacrifice you and your families have made — both in times of conflict and peace,” the 40-year-old Duke of Sussex stated in a statement on November 11. You have been instrumental in upholding the principles of security, liberty, and freedom. These principles have molded you into leaders and role models and unite us.
The message went on to say, “Remember the unity and purpose that defined your service at a time of global uncertainty, and do not hesitate to put that into action in your communities.” “We should all be guided by that same spirit as we tackle the challenges of today.” Your morals and example show that real strength comes from our capacity to band together and face the challenges that lie ahead.
After ten years of service in the British Army, Prince Harry has dedicated a significant portion of his life to supporting active military personnel and veterans. In 2014, he founded the Invictus Games, an international multisport competition for servicemen and servicewomen who are ill, injured, or wounded. Earlier this year, the Invictus Games commemorated their tenth anniversary.
