The days of tiny bikini tops on the beach are long gone. Everyone is abandoning stringy swimsuits in favour of something with a bit more covering (mainly thanks to Kim Kardashian).
The most recent celebrity to experiment with the look? Eva Longoria, who celebrated the end of summer with a black variation of the season’s favourite bikini style.
On Saturday, the actress posted a warm-weather OOTD with the message, “who else is trying to soak up these last few days of summer?”
Longoria nailed the caught-off-guard selfie in the photo, standing with her fingers in her hair in a black high-neck cropped tank top and plain matching swim shorts.
While the top was not standard suntanning clothing, Eva’s midriff-baring ensemble allowed her to soak up plenty of sunlight.
In true summer style, the diva went shoeless on her outdoor outing and accessorised with only a pair of black-tinted sunglasses. Longoria’s dark balayaged hair fell in gentle waves down her shoulders, exuding beach vitality.
Eva’s barefoot photo comes only days after she stated that skipping shoes is a typical occurrence for the actress. Longoria was questioned about her favourite pair of shoes by the Cut’s editor-in-chief Lindsay Peoples for her podcast, In Her Shoes.
“Oh my gosh, I’m not wearing any shoes right now.” I’m not wearing shoes. I’m wearing no shoes. I usually go barefoot. “My favourite shoe is not a shoe,” she explained.
“I grew up on a ranch in Texas, so I’m usually barefoot around the house, but I’m a trainer girl now.” I’m into comfort, that’s all. I adore the sneaker mania that emerged during Covid. “Elastic pants and trainers, I said, ‘Yes.'”
