Gisele Bündchen is turning red—on the cover of Vogue Italia, no less.

The supermodel was transformed into a redhead with pencil thin brows for the cover of the March 2023 issue of the fashion magazine, which was revealed on Feb. 22.
The striking portrait, shot by Rafael Pavarotti, showed Gisele, whose crimson locks were styled in a slicked-back ‘do, dressed in a scarlet Valentino gown with sheer batwing sleeves.

Her eye-catching ensemble was completed with a bright red lip, smokey eyeshadow, and a ruby manicure. In terms of jewelry, the 42-year-old wore a chunky silver cuff bracelet and large drop earrings.
“Our cover story is a chromatic journey through the thousand transformations of a woman who, usually portrayed naturally, is almost unrecognizable here,” according to the issue’s description, which was translated from Italian.

“From this real Vogue Makeover, Gisele comes out different but basically always the same. Ready for a new chapter, perhaps a new life? And she starts it like this: in red.”
Gisele’s first magazine cover since her divorce from Tom Brady in October 2022. Tom is the father of Jack, 15, from his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan, as well as son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10.

“My priority has always been and will always be our children, whom I love with all my heart,” Gisele said at the time in a statement. “We will continue to co-parent in order to provide them with the love, care, and attention they so richly deserve.”
Though Gisele had “grown apart” from the athlete, she said she was “blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom forever.”

Likewise, Tom expressed nothing but “gratitude for the time we spent together” when confirming news of their split.
“We came to this decision to end our marriage after much thought,” he said in an October statement.
