Holly Marie Combs tears down as she admits Shannen Doherty had ‘huge ambitions’ before her de ath at the age of 53
Holly Marie Combs fell down when she confessed that her close friend, Shannen Doherty, had enormous plans before her de ath.
Doherty, best known for her appearances in Beverly Hills, 90210, and Charmed, died on July 13 at the age of 53 from stage IV breast cancer.
Doherty was first diagnosed in 2015 and was in remission from 2017 to 2019 after receiving rigorous therapy. However, in 2020, the disease returned violently and spread to her bones.
The actress had been honest with her fans about her ongoing battle with the disease, explaining the everyday hardships of living with it as well as the need for regular medication to keep symptoms under control.
Tragically, her struggle ended earlier this month, and since then, tributes to the late celebrity have poured in, particularly from those who had previously worked with her.
Jason Priestley, who played Doherty’s twin brother on the classic program 90210, posted a throwback photo of the two as their characters Brandon and Brenda Walsh.
“Shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of my friend Shannen,” he posted on Instagram. “She was a force of nature, and I’ll miss her. “Sending love and light to her family during this difficult time.”
Carol Potter, who played the twins’ on-screen mother, honored Doherty on social media, writing, “What a trip she has been on! Gone too soon. Throughout, she remained true to herself
