Hugh Jackman tells the heartwarming tale of his 25 year reunion with Ke Huy Quan
Jackman played Wolverine in the 1999 movie, while Quan was a member of the stunt crew. On social media, Hugh Jackman expressed his affection for Ke Huy Quan, his old X-Men teammate.
After meeting Quan, 52, at Kevin Feige’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, the 55-year-old actor of Deadpool and Wolverine shared a photo of the two on Instagram. Feige is the president of Marvel Studios.
“25 years later … #deadpoolandwolverine #xmen,” is how long Jackman has been tagging photos of the two in the X-Men, which was released in 1999.
Quan assisted in the fight scene choreography while working on the stunt squad for the movie, which featured Jackman in his breakthrough role as Wolverine.
In a voiceover on the post, Jackman stated, “One of the many awesome things about the movie being released is so many moments are happening that are making me appreciate the 25 years I’ve been playing Wolverine.”
Starring in X-Men taught the actor a lot about action movies and stunt work, and he called Quan and his stunt team “incredible.” “[Quan] just won an Oscar, and both his career and story are amazing.”
We embraced as soon as we saw each other,” he continued. “It was just so nice to see him again and get back in touch.”
Quan also shared a photo of himself with Jackman on Instagram, describing it as “AWESOME” and claiming to have seen Deadpool and Wolverine.
