For Jessica Simpson, creating music is a “irresistible” pastime.

Simpson is preparing for her long-awaited musical comeback, some 16 years after the release of her last album. On November 11, she appeared to hint to the “comeback” by posting pictures of herself at a recording studio to Instagram.

“Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic,” the 44-year-old sing-songwriter and businessman captioned the photo.

“This comeback is personal,” Simpson said. “It’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”

The entrepreneur has recorded seven studio albums since she first rose to fame as a teenager: Sweet Kisses in 1999, Irresistible in 2001, In This Skin in 2003, ReJoyce: The Christmas Album in 2004, A Public Affair in 2006, Do You Know in 2008, and Happy Christmas in 2010.
