Kate Hudson says she and Matthew McConaughey are both totally open to a How to Lose a Guy sequel

“All that matters would be the script,” the actress stated on perhaps resuming her part in the fan-favorite romantic comedy.

Kate Hudson is thinking about revisiting a movie from her past.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, July 17, the actress, 45, claimed that she and her former co-star Matthew McConaughey, 54, are considering making a sequel to their 2003 romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

When asked about a possible sequel by host Andy Cohen, Hudson responded, “I think they’re always thinking about that.”

She went on to suggest that she would consider the film provided it had a great storyline.

“All that matters is the script and whether Matthew and I are into it,” the Glass Onion star stated. “I think we’re both totally open, it has just never happened.”

The successful film, which featured Hudson in an iconic yellow dress, is based on Michele Alexander and Jeannie Long’s novel of the same name, and stars Hudson and McConaughey as magazine writer Andie Anderso and advertising executive Benjamin Barry, respectively.

In the film, their paths cross for a complicated romance when Andie begins writing a piece about how to get a man to leave you in 10 days and Benjamin lays a bet that he can make a woman fall in love with him in the same time frame.
