Lady Gaga hints at a new era in her work! What to expect?
A source tells PEOPLE the superstar is feeling the “most creative she’s ever been” after teasing her return to the studio.
All is good in the music industry now that Lady Gaga has returned to the studio.
On Thursday, July 18, the singer, 38, teased her upcoming phase with an Instagram post that included photographs of herself resting in front of a studio microphone while wearing black shades. “Just me in the studio—happy as ever making music,” she captioned it. “I feel very grateful, and my heart is at rest. “It’s like meditation.”
The singer also offered fans something to be excited about, saying, “I can’t wait for you to hear what I’m working on.”
A source tells PEOPLE that Gaga is “never happier” with the music she’s been producing lately, adding, “She’s feeling the most creative she’s ever been.”
Fans and Gaga’s peers are both thrilled to see her back in the studio, with fellow pop artist Kesha commenting on her Instagram image, “Feed us mother!!!!”Gaga hasn’t released a new studio album in nearly three years,
her most recent being 2021’s Love for Sale, which featured the late Tony Bennett. She previously released a solo single, “Hold My Hand,” for the soundtrack of the 2022 sequel film Top Gun:
Maverick, which she performed stripped down at last year’s Academy Awards. Her most recent track was a 2023 duet with The Rolling Stones called “Sweet Sounds of Heaven.”
