Lisa Kudrow is watching Friends for Matthew Perry Celebrating how hilarious he was
Lisa Kudrow is currently reflecting on her past.
The actress, who played Phoebe Buffay on “Friends” for ten seasons, admitted she used to avoid watching repeats for fear of not like her own performance.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kudrow revealed that she has begun viewing old episodes of the popular comedy to honor her late co-star and friend Matthew Perry.
“To be honest, I couldn’t watch it because watching yourself is too embarrassing. “But if I make it about Matthew, that’s fine,” she explained. “And it’s just celebrating how hilarious he was — and that is what I want to remember [about him].”
Kudrow also shared her favorite moment from making “Friends.”
“You’re just laughing all day long, basically, in between the scenes, because these are funny people,” she said later. “Especially Matthew, whose goal was, ‘How many laughs can I get in real life every day?'”
So we were constantly laughing so hard that tears streamed down our cheeks. The actress was also asked how she wants the world to remember Perry, who died on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54, as a result of acute ketamine effects and other contributing causes, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
“I think the world is remembering him the way he wanted to be remembered,” Kudrow told the press. “I think that’s happening [already].”
