On Saturday, August 24, the 44-year-old singer of “Irresistible” shared a selfie of herself with her 5-year-old daughter Birdie Mae on Instagram.
“My Birdie and I Me and My Birdie…” she wrote as the post’s caption.
The pair is pictured cuddled up in a recliner with a blanket draped over their laps. Simpson is rocking a red flannel top, while Birdie is donning a long-sleeve sweater adorned with hearts. The fashion designer is putting her tongue out and the mother-daughter pair are beaming.
Simpson and her husband Eric Johnson, whom she wed in 2014, are parents to Birdie and her two other children, Ace Knute, 11, and Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 12.
The singer posted a humorous picture of herself and her children at her son’s basketball game on Instagram earlier this summer. The picture, which features the three of them grinning broadly, was captioned, “Cheerin’ for Ace with his sisters from the sidelines.”
A few days before, Simpson wrote, “I’m gonna be a braggin’ Mom for a moment and just say that I have the kindest, most handsome 11-year-old son on the planet,” alongside a black-and-white photo of Ace on Instagram.
