Nearly four months after the star’s de ath, Shannen Doherty’s doctor provides an update on her mother, saying that grieving is a long process
Lawrence Piro, the actress’ friend and doctor, claimed that her mother Rosa experiences “a great sense of peacefulness” as a result of the admiration that fans have for Shannen.
For the first time, Shannen Doherty’s doctor is stepping out and providing a rare update on her mother, Rosa Doherty, over four months after Shannen’s death.
On the November 4 episode of the late star’s podcast, Let’s Be Clear, Dr. Lawrence Piro, Shannen’s close friend and oncologist during her breast cancer struggle, acknowledged that it has “been hard to talk about her” since her death on July 13.
He claimed that after he “sat down with Rosa,” her mother, he had made the decision to record a podcast episode in which he reflected on her friendship and her cancer battle.
He began by saying, “We had a chat,” before providing some information about Rosa’s health in the wake of the death of her 53-year-old daughter.
“I frequently see Rosa. I also look after Rosa. I am also aware that you are all worried about her. Rosa is doing well. She resides in Shannen’s house, where she looks after the pets and performs all of her previous duties.Piro stated, “She’s grieving, you know, it’s a long process,” and that Shannen’s mother is handling the loss “very well, very naturally and normally.”
“She’s doing well and she, you know, she’s so dedicated to Shannen’s fans and to their memory of Shannen and they’re keeping Shannen’s memories alive and their loyalty to Shannen,”
