Never looked back after leaving home with Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck
Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on Aug. 20 and listed their date of separation as April 26
Ben Affleck has “never looked back” since moving out from living with ex Jennifer Lopez earlier this year, a source tells PEOPLE.
The actor-director, 52, is now “very focused on work and his kids,” the source adds. “He’s staying busy and happy.”
Lopez, 55, filed for divorce on Aug. 20, ending the couple’s two years of marriage. She listed April 26 as their date of separation.
Multiple sources told PEOPLE back in May that Affleck and Lopez were not living together in their Los Angeles home and that he was staying in another property while filming The Accountant 2.Though Affleck and Lopez were seen together at various events in the spring, they spent much of the summer on opposite coasts.
In June, Affleck and Lopez put the mansion they shared together in Beverly Hills since June 2023 on the market, a source previously told PEOPLE. Affleck later purchased a new $20 million home in L.A. in July.Lopez said in an Interview magazine discussion published last week that she is embracing the single life.
“For people who are romantics and love being in relationships and want to grow old with somebody, we think, ‘I have to have that to be whole and happy.’ And you don’t, ” she said, jokingly adding that it “only took 30 years” for her to learn that.
