Reasons why concertgoers believe Camila Cabello disparaged Sabrina Carpenter
Fans assumed Camila Cabello was making fun of Sabrina Carpenter when she left off the word “taste” from her performance of her Shawn Mendes collaboration “Senorita” at the iHeartRadio Festival.

It’s possible that Camila Cabello isn’t popular with Sabrina Carpenter. During her performance of “Señorita” at the 2024 iHeartRadio Festival, the Fifth Harmony alum left off a specific word, leading many to speculate that she was making fun of the “Espresso” singer.
In a video uploaded to TikTok on September 21, Camila took sure to exclude the word “taste” when she sang a line from her 2019 song that she recorded with her ex-boyfriend Shawn Mendes.

Leaving the last syllable out of the line, “You say we’re just friends / But friends don’t know the way you taste,” the “Havana” singer placed a finger over her mouth and gave the crowd a sly grin.
Sabrina’s successful song “Taste,” which many have surmised alludes to her alleged romance with Shawn and his sporadic relationship with Camila, was quickly linked by fans to the absence.

With the lyrics “You’re wonderin’ why half his clothes went missin’ / My body’s where they’re at,” Sabrina—who ignited romance rumors with Shawn in March 2023,
a month before he was caught kissing Camila at Coachella—addresses the woman her ex has chosen to reconcile with.
