Rebel was able to rehabilitate herself as a mother after that unpleasant incident at the party

Rebel Wilson looked fresh and relaxed as she stepped off an international flight from Los Angeles to Sydney on Saturday.

The Aussie actress strolled through the Sydney Airport terminal smiling and pushing along her luggage.

The 42-year-old appeared to be solo, and it’s unclear if her newborn daughter, Royce Lillian, or girlfriend Ramona Agruma were along for the trip.

The Isn’t It Romantic star was pretty in pink, opting for a long sleeved T-shirt in a rosy tone.

She added a pair of grey sweats, and had a hoodie in the same colour tied around her waist.

Rebel appeared to have on minimal makeup, opting for a clean look with a soft pink lipstick.

The star covered up her famous features behind a pair of reflective gold sunglasses and wore her blonde locks down in a simple flip do.

She could not wipe the smile off her face as she traversed the terminal and appeared delighted to be back on home turf.

Rebel was assisted by a minder who wheeled along a large stack of suitcases, and she additionally wheeled along a carry-on.

It comes after Rebel copped backlash from mothers on social media after footage surfaced of her partying just weeks after welcoming her first child via surrogate.

She had shared photos and videos of herself on the dance floor with her girlfriend Ramona and celebrities including Paris Hilton.

The event in Santa Monica was to celebrate the launch of Hilton’s virtual realm ‘Paris World’, and took place five days after Wilson announced her child’s birth.

Wilson and Agruma also reportedly attended Leonardo DiCaprio’s 48th birthday party at about this time, according to various outlets.

Rebel, who has long been open about her desire to have children, had announced the birth of her ‘miracle’ daughter Royce Lillian on November 8, saying her little girl arrived ‘this past week’ with the help of a ‘gorgeous surrogate’.

‘Total sliving last night! Congrats, Paris Hilton,’ Wilson captioned her post on Instagram.

‘Sliving’ is a slang term meaning glamorously successful, self-empowered and fulfilled.

Many of her followers flocked to the comments section to criticise the Pitch Perfect star for partying so soon after welcoming the newborn daughter she had ‘longed for’.

‘I sure as heck wouldn’t have left my newborn to go partying the week she was born! Whether I had birthed her myself or not is irrelevant!’ one critic said.

‘I think she may regret this post in a few weeks’ [or] months’ time,’ another added.

‘She can do whatever she wants, as can any mum, but it does seem a little odd that a week after a baby that she longed for [for] so long arrives and she’s out partying. Even if it was for an hour or so, it still seems a bit strange.’

Another asked Wilson to ‘think of the woman’ who gave birth to her baby.

‘Ummm sorry?!? Didn’t you just get given a baby this week. So confused right now. This is the most important time to bond with your baby, not party,’ one comment read.

‘I was shocked when I saw this post but after seeing all the comments on here I really don’t need to add anything. My views are covered here too,’ another said.

However, plenty of fans in the comments section jumped to Wilson’s defence, arguing that ‘mothers are allowed to have time to themselves too’.

‘Are mothers not allowed to let their hair down? Are mothers not allowed to take a break for their own self, their own soul?

Several others echoed these sentiments, saying they hoped to ‘normalise new mums taking an hour or two for themselves’.

After the backlash, Rebel celebrated her baby girl’s first Thanksgiving at home, surrounded by family.

The Australian actress was joined by her girlfriend Ramona and newborn daughter for a shindig at her Hollywood hills home last month.

Also present was Rebel’s mother Sue Bownds, who is now a proud grandmother to little Royce.

The star showed off her culinary skills as she worked up a sweat in the kitchen preparing festive dishes.

Rebel, Ramona and Sue all posed together too, beaming for photos as the Pitch Perfect star’s designer girlfriend showed off a salad she’d made. Royce was pictured in Rebel’s arms, but she was sure to obscure her little face for privacy.

Rebel enjoyed a romantic dinner with her girlfriend Ramona a few days after Thanksgiving.

She shared a video to Instagram of her girlfriend wearing an ‘R and R’ jumper as they had a meal out in Los Angeles.

Just two days after revealing she is a mum, Wilson opened up about her infertility struggles in a vulnerable interview with People.

While filming The Almond and the Seahorse, Wilson said she received the terrible news that all the eggs that she had harvested ‘up until that point had not survived being thawed.’

‘So I’d lost a huge amount of weight and been through 3 surgeries at that point and no viable embryos,’ she continued. ‘It was devastating.’ Still, she said her ‘desire to become a mother was so strong’ that she ‘needed to keep trying.’

‘It was feelings of loss, feelings of hope — and it all played into my performance,’ the actor stated. ‘It was a very emotional time.’

She told the publication that holding her child for the first time was ‘overwhelming and exciting.’ My love for her is just overflowing. She is gorgeous and perfect,’ the actress added after announcing the birth of her daughter on Monday morning.

The blonde beauty posted a photo of the child in a light pink onesie with unicorn socks along with a sweet caption sharing how proud she is to become a first time mother.

‘Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate,’ she wrote.

In June, Rebel came out as gay on Instagram along with a photo of herself and Ramona.
