Sabrina Carpenter’s stunning 2024 MTV VMAs moment features Madonna’s glittering 1991 Oscars gown
Madonna debuted the Bob Mackie dress with a fur stole on top. On September 11, Sabrina Carpenter made her way onto the red carpet of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, looking stunning in an outfit that was eerily identical!
The 25-year-old singer of “Espresso,” who is up for six prizes at the event, went all out for her appearance and even dug out an old frock for her outfit.
Carpenter donned a shimmering old Bob Mackie dress that Madonna had worn at the 1991 Oscars. Silver beaded embroidery encircled the top of the stunning white gown with a sweetheart neckline, showcasing her beautiful De Beers necklace (she also wore earrings and a ring from the company). Her stunning golden hair was groomed.
She looked stunning and dewy with a vibrant red lip, thanks to beauty artist Carolina Gonzalez. Gonzalez claimed in a press release that she gave Carpenter a “dreamy pinup” look for the evening using Velour lashes.
Carpenter is a nominee for artist of the year, song of the year (for “Espresso”), best pop, best direction (for “Please Please Please”), best editing (for “Espresso”), and best art direction (for “Please Please Please) at the UBS Arena in New York. Carpenter is scheduled to play at the event as well.
