Kaia Gerber is giving her mother Cindy Crawford a very special homage.
The 23-year-old actress and model made her red carpet debut on Thursday, September 12 at the Toronto Film Festival wearing a gown that she was well-known for. According to Vogue, Gerber’s stylist Molly Dickinson recreated Crawford’s iconic 1993 Oscars outfit by wearing a white Hervé Leger body-con dress from the same French fashion brand.
Dickson to the publication, “Kaia had sent me a mood board for TIFF and this was one of her references.” “I thought it would be wonderful to honor Cindy’s memorable occasion.”
Crawford, then fifty-eight, went to the 1993 Academy Awards with her then-husband, actor Richard Gere. Gerber accessorized the dress, which was made with Hervé Leger’s distinctive bandage material,
with white pointed-toe heels, much like the supermodel did on the red carpet. She also accessorized an old Omega watch from her mother’s collection and vintage diamond jewelry, according to Vogue.
Stars like Sydney Sweeney, Sadie Sink, and Bella Hadid are among Dickinson’s other clientele. Dickinson posted the source of Gerber’s look on Instagram Stories. She commented, “Just wait for it guys…” over a picture of Crawford from the 1993 Academy Awards.
