Shannon’s Beverly Hills co-stars mourn with everyone else

The actors of Beverly Hills 90210 have come together to pay poignant respects to their beloved co-star Shannen Doherty, who died at the age of 53 following a nine-year battle with breast cancer.

Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green, and Gabrielle Carteris took to social media to express their memories and emotions from working with Doherty on the popular 1990s adolescent drama series.

Doherty rose to prominence as Brenda Walsh, the lively twin sister of Brandon Walsh, played by Jason Priestley.

In a moving tribute, Priestley emphasized his shock and sadness, characterizing Doherty as “a force of nature” and emphasizing how much he will miss her.

Jennie Garth, who played Kelly Taylor alongside Doherty, gave very personal insights that emphasized Doherty’s strength and character. “Shannen was one of the strongest people I have ever known,” Garth wrote, along with images from their time on set.

She stressed their true friendship, which was sometimes misunderstood due to media portrayals pitting them against one another.

Tori Spelling, daughter of the show’s producer Aaron Spelling and well known for her role as Donna Martin, posted a touching photo of herself with Doherty, expressing her terrible sorrow with broken heart emojis.

She expressed the depth of their bond, recognizing that their comprehension of one other extended beyond outward expressions.
