The 3 children of Christopher Reeve! All about Will, Alexandra, and Matthew
Before his passing in 2004, Christopher Reeve was the father of two sons and one girl. In addition to becoming Superman on television, Christopher Reeve was a father to his three children, William, Alexandra, and Matthew.
With his former partner Gae Exton, the Superman actor welcomed his first two children, Alexandra Reeve Givens, 40, and Matthew Reeve, 44. William “Will” Reeve, 32, was born to him and Dana Reeve in 1992, the year of their marriage.
On October 10, 2004, Christopher passed away, nine years following a horseback riding accident that rendered him paraplegic from the neck down.
His youngest kid paid tribute to his father in 2021 on Father’s Day by writing a heartfelt letter that was shared on Good Morning America. In the brief time we were together, my father provided me.
“When he died, I was certain my purpose in life was to be him, to seamlessly carry on his legacy, to leave no separation between where ChristopherReeve ended and where Will Reeve began.”
He continued, “Like many missing the main character every third Sunday in June, I never feel fully whole on Father’s Day. But I find peace and strength in the fact that the greatest gift I can give my dad is to keep him in my heart while I follow it wherever it leads me.”
