The agency head who fired Justin Baldoni claims that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are good people and that I am a ride-or-die
“They’ve never had any bad mojo out there or treated people badly,” according to Ari Emanuel, who quoted Lively and Reynolds.
Speaking out, the talent agency executive who is accused of “firing” Justin Baldoni from its roster is complimenting clients Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.
Amid the actress’s ongoing It Ends With Us legal dispute with 41-year-old Baldoni, Ari Emanuel, the CEO of WME’s parent business, Endeavor, discussed his personal relationship with Lively, 37, and Reynolds, 48, during a live taping for the Freakonomics podcast with host Stephen Dubner.
On December 21, the day it was revealed that Lively had filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni and accused him of launching a smear campaign, the Jane the Virgin star was fired by his previous talent agency, WME.
Having known Lively and Reynolds for more than ten years, Emanuel described them as “really incredible people.”
“They’ve never had any bad mojo out there or treated people badly,” stated Emanuel. If Lively’s lawsuit is accurate, he continued, then those involved are “really bad people.” The allegations include Baldoni sexually harassing Lively on set and stoking a retaliatory public smear campaign to “destroy” her name.
“These are good people who have been in the business for decades and have never had any bad press about them,” he continued, referring to Lively and Reynolds. Additionally, they are liked by everyone they have worked with.
