The stunning sight when a group of starlings forms a gigantic bird over a lake was shot by two excellent shooters.
“It appeared like a gigantic bird,” James, another of the photographers, said.Starlings are unmistakably seen around Lake Ennell, close Mullingar in Ireland Westmeath.
Ireland is a natural wonderland, whose magnificence we can appreciate due to two shooters, Colin H. and James C. These 2 photographers caught a large swarm of starlings morphed into what everybody else thought was a massive bird flying over a lake.
One of the people that recorded this scene was James.At the Irish Press Photography Association Honors, he was selected Photographer of the Year.
He stated that he had been hunting for something great for years and that it had finally paid off.His picture was featured on the front page of the Irish Times.
Colin, an eager shooter who works in the geophysical branch of the Dublin Center for Advanced Technology, was yet another guy who observed it.” Such a magnificent sight, so near to home,” he remarked.
What causes such an occurrence?
Small birds that congregate in such groupings assure their survival. Birds of prey, for example, have a considerably more difficult time shooting and capturing everyone in a pack.
The other reason for flocking forming is that it keeps them warm and comfortable and allows them to communicate info about food locations.
Up to 100,000 starlings congregate in certain groups.Simply amazing. It was a fantastic effort by the shooters.
