What happened to Zac Efron’s face after social media users said they can’t focus on his latest film
Zac Efron has dominated social media since the release of his most recent film.
Efron, best known for his appearances in High School Musical and The Iron Claw, recently returned to the big screen starring Nicole Kidman and Joey King in Netflix’s latest romantic comedy, A Family Affair.
“An unexpected romance triggers comic consequences for a young woman, her mother, and her boss, grappling with the complications of love, sex, and identity,” reads the film’s official description.
The film, which was officially released last month (June 28), became a hot topic online, not only for its risqué material, but also for Efron’s appearance.
The 36-year-old has received some scathing internet remarks in recent years, and while you would think people would have moved on, his appearance continues to be the main focus of discussion.
A recent clip from the film was published on X (previously Twitter) by the popular account ‘non aesthetic things’. In the video, which has now been viewed over 4.3 million times, the actor delivers his line over a text overlay that reads:
“Zac Efron?” I can’t concentrate on the movie[.] “How is this him?”The caption also repeated the overlay: “What happened to Zac Efron?” “He looks like a completely different person.”
