E.T. was around three months old at the time, and he was quite inquisitive and happy. E.T. rapidly adapted to his new life,

befriending two shelter dogs named Spokie and Zarah who assisted him in overcoming his loss.Dogs treated E.T. as if he were a puppy.

They enjoyed playing with him and caring for him. E.T. also enjoyed spending time with the twodogs, eating meals with them in much the same bed.

He appears to believe he is a dog. E.T. was ready to be reintroduced into the wild after 5 months of recuperation. He returned every day, though, to visit his beloved caretakers and companions.
