When Princess Charlotte first saw her father, Prince William, sporting a beard, she broke down in tears
The Prince of Wales added, “I convinced her it was going to be okay,” in reference to assisting his daughter in accepting his new appearance.
For the first time, Prince William is talking about his daring new appearance.
The 42-year-old Prince of Wales disclosed in an open interview on November 7 to conclude his trip to Cape Town, South Africa, for this year’s Earthshot Prize Awards, that his new beard needed to pass a crucial test—not from the general public, but from his 9-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte!
William revealed that things didn’t go as planned when he tried to grow facial hair earlier this year.
“Well, the first time, Charlotte didn’t enjoy it. I had to shave it off after crying uncontrollably the first time,” he remarked.
The royal father of three, who was determined to try again, needed to persuade some people.
I grew it back after that. “Hold on a minute,” William continued, “and I assured her that everything would be alright.William acknowledged that the prince’s new facial hair, which he debuted in August, gives him a comfortable, easygoing aspect when one of the reporters pointed out that it is misleading.
Regarding the previous year, he remarked, “It’s interesting that you say that, because I couldn’t be less relaxed this year, so it’s very interesting you’re all seeing that.”
