When the gorgeous actor passes away at the age of 88, his dying desire to be buried alongside his dog is denied by his family
The family of a deceased French actor has decided not to comply with his request to have his pet dog put to sleep and buried with him.
On Sunday, August 18, Alain Delon, who was most recognized for his roles in iconic films like Plein Soleil and Le Samouraï, passed away at the age of 88. The family released a statement stating that the actor died quietly at his Douchy home, encircled by his three kids.
The statement obtained by The Guardian said, “Alain Fabien, Anouchka, Anthony, and [his dog] Loubo, are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their father.”
The L’Eclisse actor had already declared that, upon passing away, he wanted his 10-year-old Belgian malinois named Loubo to be buried next to him.
The Rocco and His Brothers actor disclosed in a 2018 interview with Paris Match that “He’s my end-of-life dog…I adore him unadulterated.
I’ve owned 50 dogs in my lifetime, but this one holds a particular place in my heart. “When I’m not around, he misses me,” The New York Post said.
