While filming Fool’s Gold, Kate Hudson claims she could “smell” Matthew McConaughey from a mile away
In a recent episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the actress denied ever forcing her co-star to wear deodorant during the 2008 movie.
Kate Hudson knows Matthew McConaughey’s fragrance quite well.
The 45-year-old singer and actress discussed circulating rumors of her former co-star’s body odor on a July 17 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“Did you really make Matthew McConaughey wear deodorant while filming Fool’s Gold, as per the old urban legend?” asked host Andy Cohen while he read a question that a fan had written.
“No. Hudson admitted, “He doesn’t wear deodorant, and I don’t either.
They “got so close” during filming, she acknowledged, but she could smell the actor “from a mile [away]”.
In an interview with Playboy, the Oscar winner claimed that Hudson, with whom he costarred in the 2003 movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, would “always” urge him to use salt rock, which can help get rid of odors, that she would bring to the set.
