Madame Tussauds New York hosted the ‘All I Want For Christmas’ singer’s unveiling of her new wax figure inspired by the holiday, and even she was astounded by the similarity.
The queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, is now immortalized in wax!
The 55-year-old singer visited Madame Tussauds in New York City on Sunday, November 3, to introduce her new wax figure, which was created particularly for the holiday season. The likeness is striking.
The pictures show Carey wearing a sparkling floor-length black dress, seated on a park bench, holding an ornament, and posing just like her wax copy.
Madame Tussauds described the wax figure’s glistening red gown as “reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe” and said it was modeled by the actress’s appearance in Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas, her 2020 Apple TV+ holiday special.
The “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer was astonished by the quality of the wax figure, saying, “Oh my gosh, it’s surreal,” according to a museum press statement. Excellent!”
