Yellowstone’s new spinoff series will star Michelle Pfeiffer! She’s the perfect Anchor to the newest chapter
The sequel series ‘The Madison’ was formerly titled ‘2024’.
The next chapter of the Yellowstone world has begun.
On Thursday, August 8, Paramount Pictures announced that Michelle Pfeiffer will produce and star in The Madison, the latest spinoff from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. The series was initially titled 2024.
The Madison will follow a New York City family residing in central Montana’s Madison River valley and will be a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection,” according to the statement. “Michelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent
who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity, and grace,” said Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global’s co-CEO and President/CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, in a statement.
“She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, The Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan.”
The Madison is the sixth spinoff from the Kevin Costner-led series, which debuted in 2018 and will have its last season in November – however Costner has announced that he will not appear in the second half of season 5 due to rumors of his departure.
The first spinoff, 1883, was a prequel series featuring Faith Hill and Tim McGraw as the Dutton family’s 19th-century ancestors, James and Margaret Dutton, as they traveled from Texas to Montana via the Great Plains.
Lawmen: Bass Reeves is a limited series that merged with 1883 and will star David Oyelowo. The launch date has yet to be revealed.
