Lady Gaga is no longer embarrassed by her skin imperfectiօns

There appears to be a natural skin movement on Instagram right now, and we’re all for it. We’ve seen Kourtney Kardashian’s 90s no makeup selfie, Hailey Bieber open up about her sleep struggles with a natural selfie,

and Gigi Hadid’s glowing unfiltered selfie in the last year. Gigi #blessed us with another makeup-free selfie while enjoying the sun during Milan Fashion Week last week.

Lady Gaga has now given us another refreshing social media moment – and this one is significant. When we see photos of celebrities on the red carpet,

we often see super smooth skin that has been airbrushed or softened, courtesy of filters and strategically placed lighting.

However, when the House of Gucci star posted a selfie on Instagram shortly before attending the SAG Awards, it revealed her true skin.

Gaga is wearing white eyeshadow to match her dress, as well as dramatic winged eyeliner, groomed brows, and a subtle glossy lip.

The most appealing aspect of the photograph is that it shows her natural skin texture, including pores and freckles. Because, what is it, everyone? Pores and freckles are entirely natural.

We’ve become so accustomed to seeing smoothed out, filtered skin that we almost start to believe that’s what ‘normal’ skin looks like, so seeing a celebrity as big as Lady Gaga share an unfiltered picture is so important.

Of course, everyone’s ‘normal’ skin looks different – from pores and blackheads to blemishes and freckles, ‘normal’ skin comes in a variety of forms.

Let’s hope we see more of these unfiltered moments from our favorite celebrities. It is definitely required for social media.

Gaga also took the time to express her condolences to those affected by the Ukraine attacks. “My true wish tonight is that myself and my fellow actors at the @sagawards would have made the public smile for two hours,” she wrote in the caption.

“I’m honored to have been there, it is a privilege to be an entertainer. The world constantly provides us with reasons not to smile. I’m praying for Ukraine tonight and sending smiles to all your hearts, which I hope will be restored soon.”
