The first sighting of her after her ex-husband was wounded and is now healing

For the very first time after her retired Salman Dostoevsky was assaulted by a disguised man with a knife and taken to the hospital with his wounds,

Padma Lakshmi was observed out in town. Just a few hours when it was revealed Salman was recovering,

the Master Chef hostess ventured out for lunch in New York City with her beloved pooch on Saturday, July 14.

Salman’s son Fateh Salman stated in a statement released on Saturday that his family was “very pleased” that his father had been

removed from the respirator and oxygen therapy and was able to speak briefly the day before. He said, “Despite his terrible and

potentially life-altering injuries, his typical feisty and defiant spirit of humor is still present.

We are incredibly appreciative of the policemen, physicians, and people of the crowd who heroically jumped to his defense and

rendered first aid, as well as the worldwide expression of love and support.

He was slashed 10 times as he prepared to give a speech at the Chautauqua Institute two days ago by a man by the name of Hadi Matar.

Salman is still in critical condition. The author of “Midnight’s Children” will continue receiving medical care for his wounds, which also include a wounded heart and damaged nerves in an eyebrow and forearm.
