Vanessa Hudgens can’t and won’t stop posting envious vacation photos. While the singer-turned-actress is technically in the Philippines for work (Hudgens, who is half Filipino, has been commissioned to film a travel documentary about the archipelago),
she’s made time to explore the cluster of islands, complete with a tropical wardrobe.
Vanessa hit the beach a few days later in another stringy two-piece and throwback accessory from the early ’00s, after swimming in a floral-leopard print biкini paired with a very Y2K body chain.
Baby V posted a new photo dump to her Instagram grid over the weekend, captioned “Might as well be heaven #foreverphilippines.” In the second image of the slideshow, she posed at the water’s edge while dressed in a pink, blue,
and yellow patterned bathing suit with a matching silk scarf wrapped around her head and neatly tied underneath her dark naturally-wavy hair. Vanessa completed her beach-day ensemble with pink-rimmed sunglasses, gold jewelry, and a dangling bellybutton ring.
The headscarf trend was popular among celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, the Olsen twins, and Britney Spears in the early 2000s, and it appears to be making a comeback. Xtina brought back the forgotten accessory at the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards
with a black latex hair wrap before Vanessa modelled her version on the beach. Vanessa’s island girl wardrobe has included halter-necks, knitted maxi dresses, and large sunglasses in addition to biкinis.
