Nicole Kidman wears a movie costume she wishes she could keep
“I don’t keep anything. “But I keep all my couture dresses,” Kidman admitted. Nicole Kidman did not preserve any movie set memorabilia, and she regrets it!
In Vogue’s interview series “Off the Cuff,” in which costars interview each other, Kidman, 57, told her A Family Affair co-star Joey King that there is a certain costume she wore in 2001’s Moulin Rouge that she still wishes she had kept.
“I wish I kept the pink feathers from Moulin Rouge, ’cause they’re so beautiful,” the actress said of one of the ensembles she donned as nightclub singer Satine in the film.
During one of Satine’s performances, Kidman wore a two-piece ensemble that included a fitted embroidered bustier and a pink feathered train. Catherine Martin and Angus Strathie, the film’s co-costume designers, selected it.
The Practical Magic actor told King, 24, that she regretted not preserving the glasses her character Alice Harford wore in the 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut, in which she costarred with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
“I keep nothing,” Kidman acknowledged, adding, “But I do keep all of my couture dresses.”
