There was an embarrassment right on the air! Poor Dakota didn’t know what to do out of shame.
Dakota Johnson handled a wardrobe malfunction like a pro when the strap of her dress came undone during a live interview. During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, June 19, the actress made a minor fashion faux pas in front of the audience.
“Your dress just came unhooked,” host Jimmy Kimmel informed Dakota, 34, as cameras focused on them after a clip from her film Daddio played. “Are you okay?” Should I grab some Scotch tape?
Dakota was wearing a black dress with gold straps and commented, “My dress, it just fell off!” Despite her initial discomfort, she managed to reattach the strap and cloth without revealing too much. “I’ll just hold it,” she explained.
Throughout the interview, the Fifty Shades of Grey star had to constantly caressing her shoulder and chest to ensure the outfit remained in place. Luckily, it held up until she finished the interview.
Dakota appeared on the chat show to promote Daddio, in which she stars alongside Sean Penn. The actor portrays a taxi driver in the film, while Dakota plays a woman who boards his car at JFK Airport.
Throughout their drive together, she tells him about her life, and the most of the film takes place inside the taxi. Dakota also served as a producer on the film.
